Unless you have a special printer at home that accepts large sheets of paper you will need to have a local office supply shop print these for you.
At the office supply shops you will select the "poster" printing option.
Option 1) The cheapest and quickest way to print large posters is on 20lb bond paper at your local FEDEX or engineering/blueprint (24 lb) paper at your local office store (**Keep in mind this is for B&W prints without a lot ink, if there is a lot of ink especially colored ink they will likely cancel your order and not print it).
These papers are pretty flimsy and thin so they are great for one time use holiday signs or activities but they are not sturdy or very opaque. Thinner flimsy papers like these tend to wrinkle in a frame and won’t give a finished professional appearance.
*Special note* Some people have had a hard time finding the link to order blueprint paper on Office Depot/OfficeMax, here is a direct link for you: https://www.officedepot.com/configurator/pod/#/product/blueprints
Option 2) For posters for special occasions like parties and weddings where you plan to place them on an easel (welcome signs, seating charts, etc) we recommend a mounted poster. You can find these at both FEDEX or Office Depot/Office Max. This is a poster printed and then mounted onto a lightweight foam board. We highly recommend this method most if you plan to have your poster standing on it’s own.
*You can also DIY this method by printing the poster on your own on a thin paper, using spray adhesive to adhere it to a foam board from your local craft store and then trimming if necessary.
Option 3) For home decor signs we recommend using Office Depot or OfficeMax. You can order your posters on their 55 lb heavy bond paper that has either a matte or gloss finish. The gloss tends to cost a little more. These both have a great thickness and finish that is ideal for framing. This is also the paper we recommend using if you plan to try and create a DIY mounted poster. We recommend the matte finish over the gloss.
*For a premium sign Office Depot and OfficeMax offer a satin poster paper that is has a beautiful soft finish. It is a little more price wise but a great quality paper!*
